Let’s talk about what happens when Lord Zedd teams up with Brainiac.
In the Boom Studios comics, the Emperor of Evil finds himself in the DC Universe and meets Brainiac.
Zedd’s first act is attacking the DC Earth by using his magic on some of Brainiac’s creatures.
This leads the Justice League to call up their reserves, with heroes like Captain Marvel, Aquaman, and Starfire joining the battle. The Rangers also assist, utilizing their teleporters and Zords.
In the chaos, Brainiac is able to drop his drones onto the Zords, infecting them, and gaining control. He is also able to take the Rangers’ Morphers and Communicators.
The plan is clear: use the Rangers’ powers to jump to the Rangers’ universe and strand the now powerless teens!
Billy then has an idea to use the Large Hadron Collider to help generate a portal back to Angel Grove.
Working together with the smartest minds in the Justice League, they are able to lift the whole Collider into space.
Using the Dragon Dagger as a link to the Rangers’ home, the heroes succeed in traveling back to Earth, just in time to see Brainiac dome and shrink Angel Grove into his collection.
Zack, in particular, is the most upset by this, leading us into the next part of this conflict!
