This is what lays the seeds for the eventual departure of Jason, Zack, and Trini!
In the Boom Studios comics, Jason may have accepted the mission to help the Blue Emissary, but he is struggling.
One of the conditions of him signing on was to restore Tommy’s powers and the fighting strength of the team as a whole.
To that end, the Blue Emissary holds an audience with Zordon, where they inform him of the location of the White Light.
As Zordon and Alpha disappear into a hidden chamber in the Command Center to build a new Ranger, Jason tries to use the main computer to help assemble a new team.
He is frustrated at the lack of results and is interrupted by Zack and Trini, who are very suspicious of the floating blue being.
They demand to know what their leader is doing and almost fight, but Jason stops them and asks them for trust and some time.
Eventually, the two confront the Blue Emissary and have their own memories of Shattered Grid unlocked.
Shortly thereafter, Tommy returns to the team as the White Ranger—and like the tv show—becomes the new leader.
Jason saw this coming and believes that this is where Tommy is meant to be.
Afterward, Zack and Trini meet up with Jason, reveal that they remember and saw the same things he did, and resolve to help their friend—together.
