Did You Know The Ninja Turtles Got A Megazord?

2 Minute Read

In the Boom Studio comics, the Ninja Turtles, along with April O’Neil, are given access to the Morphin Grid after Shredder blocked the Power Rangers from theirs.

They jump into action once Rita, who has an uneasy alliance with Shredder, attacks New York City with a monster.

After the defeat of the monster, and while the de-powered Rangers infiltrate the Technodrome as ninjas to free a trapped Tommy, Rita makes Bebop and Rocksteady grow to monstrous size, leading the Turtles to summon the Megazord!

Shredder, who has the Green Ranger’s powers, calls the Dragonzord to the battle.

Clearly outmatched, the Turtles’ prospects are grim until Metalhead joins the melee. Billy had modified Donatello’s shrink ray to grow Metalhead.

It takes out Bebop and Rocksteady, and its energy transfer ability allowed the Megazord to blast the Dragonzord, taking it out of commission.

This leads Shredder to retreat and call on the Technodrome to fire on the Zords. That’s when Zordon reminds everyone that Zords are infinitely adaptable, resulting in the combination of Metalhead and the Megazord to form the Turtle Megazord!

With the Power Sword, the Technodrome is sliced into two.

The heroes then chase Shredder and Rita to the Moon Palace, the Rangers having regained access to their powers. Tommy is able to reclaim his Morpher from Shredder.

In the end, the villains escape to Dimension X, from where they would undoubtedly return!
