Where did the Psycho Green Ranger come from?
In the Boom Studios comics, a sixth Psycho Ranger was introduced, after five of them appeared in the TV series.
We first meet him when he wakes up on the moon in 1969, but the origins of this powerful evil Ranger starts long before.
Trek is an alien sixth Ranger for the Supersonic Power Rangers on the planet Xybria. Ace, the Supersonic Red Ranger and the leader of the team, is a seer that can predict the future, a skill that he uses to plan out battles and rescue missions.
As a result, Trek is consistently sidelined, which fuels his anger, bitterness, and feelings of superiority.
On one such mission, a bomb goes off, killing most of the team. It is revealed that Trek planted the bomb and prevented Ace from foreseeing the consequences.
He then travels to the home of Dark Specter, who had seduced Trek over to his side by stoking the Ranger’s rage.
Trek had passed the test, and in doing so, Dark Specter grants him more power: creating the first Psycho Ranger.
He is then sent on a mission to retrieve Rita Repulsa for the Dragon Coin that she held in her possession.
His story continues from there, as he encounters Zordon's first Mighty Morphin team in 1969.
